Studio XIII
At Studio XIII, one thing is important to us above all others... the artwork. We are here to serve you as professional artists, as well as tattoo artists. At our shop, the emphasis is not placed on the quick and easy sale, but on the creation of artwork that you can wear on your skin with pride. To that end, all of our artists are highly skilled, and every artist posseses the ability to create a unique piece of artwork for you. Upon entering our shop, the very first thing you will notice is that there is no premade "flash" artwork up on the walls. This is because we are dedicated to bringing custom artwork to the forefront of the industry, and by doing so ensure all of our customers are wearing artwork that noone else will be seen running around with. At the same time, we are also dedicated to bringing you the cleanest possible tattoo process. To that end, we are constantly updating our techniques in order to refine the process. All needles are single use, taken directly out of presterilized blister packs in full view of the client. Tubes are either sterilized on site in our autoclave, or ordered as disposable one-time use products. Inks are poured into individual containers prior to use, and disposed of afterwards. In addition, all surfaces that are to be contacted during the tattoo process are wrapped, and subsequently disinfected with a 1-minute kill time spray. The above factors combine to produce an environment that is constantly cleaned, and ensures there will be no cross-contamination of anything that is to contact the client's tattoo. This is VERY important, as it ensures an infection free healing process, which increases the longevity of the tattoo.
History
Studio XIII in it's current incarnation began when current owner Zakk Ross purchased the shop. At the time, it was a small hole-in-the-wall shop in Cape Canaveral. The only artist at the time was Leif, who is still on the roster of artists to this day. The second artist added to the line-up was Jason Dasaro, who traveled all the way from New-Hampshire to apprentice at the shop. When he arrived, the shop had moved to it's A1A location (which was only slightly larger). Shortly thereafter, Nick Malasto joined the shop's line-up, relocating from Cincinatti Ohio. It was during this time-frame that the shop began to forge a loyal local client base. On April the 1st, 2007, Studio XIII officially opened in it's new location above the Ron Jon surf school. At this point in time Galen was picked up as the new shop apprentice, as Jason had graduated to full-time tattoo artist. During this time, the shop gained notoriety, putting out the sort of artwork that not many people in the area were even aware was possible. The current shop line-up includes Leif, Nick Malasto, Jason Dasaro, Galen, Mindy, Zakk, Cool-Aid, and the shop's resident helper John Earl. We are open 7 days a week, and have the ability to serve any sort of client, and perform any sort of tattoo. So, when you decide to adorn your body with world-class artwork, contact us via the website, or use the links section to contact the various artists.
